What a Book!
The accolades are pouring in. There have been many favorable comments about our recently published book “Voices from the Sky”, that was written and generally put together by Bob Johnson. We’re sure every publisher loves to hear those good things, and we are no exception.
The book is not just another history about NWA but is rather a compilation of several stories and yarns about the people who were responsible for developing the great airline of today. Copies of the book are available from the History Centre Gift Shop, $18 (members $15). We need an additional $2 per book to mail copies anywhere in the U.S.

Reading the book appears to have prompted Joe Kimm to write a little more about his experiences in the very early days of Northwest Airways and who forwarded it to us via Bob Johnson. This one covers his first days as a command pilot flying Fargo/Grand Forks/Pembina
with alternate duties of sweeping the floors at the Fargo office.

Fargo, North Dakota is not where you want to be during the winter months if you are a lover of warmth and comfort outdoors. However, in my case, I was ecstatic just to be there. Wow! I’m about to |
