MUSEUM NEWS

There has been good response to our first attempt at a newsletter, all of it favorable, with many very worthwhile suggestions. We are still in need of a Masthead for the newsletter and would appreciate more of your suggestions.

HOLIDAY GREETINGS

The best of Holiday greetings to all of our volunteers, contributors and other supporters. Also a reminder that our Gift Shop, one of our prime sources of operating income, has a good ly supply on sweatshirts, T-shirts, caps, pins, stickers and other item that carry the old corporate logos for Northwest, North Central, Republic and some of the other predecessor airlines. There are a few aircraft models for sale. We also have a great toy model of a Stratocrusier that is available for only $14.95.The Gift Shop is open at all times that the museum is open, and by appointment. If interested in any of our merchandise, give us a call.

VOLUNTEERS

The museum could not exist without the aid of our volunteers. They provide all of the talent, labor and effort to make the organization function. . We have been very fortunate in assembling a great group of

dedicated people, but we can always use more. The following are some of the talents, which are currently needed. - CAN YOU HELP?

Web site development - Light carpentry and electrical work – Newsletter Production

Display repair and touch up painting - Exhibit and display layout – General Hosting

Visitor Guide – Data Entry – Interviewer

On October 8 th we had a first anniversary reception to recognize and honor our volunteers and those who have contributed artifacts and remembrances to the museum. Approximately one hundred individuals who have been very involved in making a go of the Centre attended the function.

At that reception, drawings were held to award the prizes from our fund initial raising raffle. The results – 1 st prize Q-Bike won by Bob Gibson; – 2 nd prize – Embroidered Shirt won by Paris Rosen and 3 rd prize, a vintage 1926 logo cap went to Dan Riley.

WEB SITE

It took awhile but the History Centre now has its own Web Site though at this time its scope is very limited. Almost weekly additions and revisions are being made. Look for us - www.nwahistory.org. We would like to hear your comments and suggestions.
